I am a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I am a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Psychology. I have also completed additional training in a variety of modalities (please see below). I am a lifelong academic, passionate about learning new approaches and training that support those I work with. I have extensive experience working in various mental health settings, including inpatient and outpatient care.
I am currently working privately and at a not-for-profit community agency focussing on individualized one-on-one mental health counselling for transitional-age youth. I have worked with individuals experiencing various difficulties, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, complex trauma, interpersonal challenges, life stressors, identity struggles, and emotional dysregulation in individual and group settings.
As a therapist, I generally draw on an eclectic therapeutic approach grounded in evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focussed Therapy (EFIT), EMDR, and Narrative Therapy.
Personal experiences and the stories shared with me professionally have profoundly shaped the way I practice. I feel humbled and privileged when I hear the stories and personal journeys of those I work with.
Our counselling services provide a unique experience tailored to your individual needs, promoting optimal mental wellness.
